Summer Reading Summer Reading: Fifty Shades and...

Who knows what electronic pages are being turned in the privacy of e-readers? I’ll hazard a guess and say that it’s probably not the Autobiography of Eleanor Roosevelt. Just doesn’t feel right with the Mai Tai and sand.

The pages that are being flipped are much more likely to be those of the “It” book of the summer, Fifty Shades of Grey. Speaking of hot.

But if, um, bondage isn’t your thing (or if you’ve already finished the trilogy!) here are a couple others for your Summer Reading List:

Great Aunt Sophia’s Lessons for Bombshells Summer Reading: Fifty Shades and... by Lisa Cach
Disheveled feminist, Grace, gets life and beauty lessons from her former B-movie star Aunt Sophia, who–even in her eighties– is still oozing “Bombshell”. AKA Cher makes over Tai in Clueless.

Gone Girl Summer Reading: Fifty Shades and... by Gillian Flynn
Wife goes missing and the adoring husband is the number one suspect. Written from both the husband and wife’s perspectives, you see their less than perfect selves and are in on secrets no one else knows. Too compelling to put down.

The Wedding Beat Summer Reading: Fifty Shades and... by Devan Sipher
Love chick lit by a guy. And in this case by the real-life James Marsden from 27 Dresses.

The Rules of Inheritance Summer Reading: Fifty Shades and... by Claire Bidwell Smith
A memoir of a young woman whose parents are diagnosed with cancer within a year of each other: “I’ve already come to the conclusion that I will probably be parentless by the time I am thirty.” Whoa.

And of course…Fifty Shades of Grey Summer Reading: Fifty Shades and... by E L James
You know what it’s about (don’t make us say it) but you should read it bc it’s what EVERYONE is talking about.
