Leigh and I are GIANT fans of womenswear designer David Peck, for many reasons.
First, he’s making one of our favorite cities, Houston, that much more fashionable by housing his operations in the heart of the city. Second, his collections are so brilliant, we love seeing what new shapes, cuts and patterns are showcased each season. Thiiird, in addition to being hugely talented, he’s also incredibly nice. (And fourth, we got to play dress up in many of his amazing looks for our photo shoot …how do you not love couture when you’ve actually been able to wear it?).
A ‘twist on the traditional,’ his aesthetic is, in his words, “classic, quirky and colorful.” Personally, any designer who says, “we always do a romper” and nails the perfect hue of bright pink has my heart.
I had the absolute pleasure to visit with David last week and check out his Spring/Summer 2013 collection for David Peck CrOp. And, let’s be honest, I wanted to run away with everything on the rack.
