 Nolitan Dreams

I remember it like it was yesterday… I was moving to New York City, and I was going apartment hunting. The task sounded daunting (to say the least), but thanks to some good old sorority connections I was set up with a “roommate interview” the first day I was on the prowl.  I’ll cut to the chase and let you know that the apartment was perfect, my new roommate even better, and I was beyond excited because not only was I moving to NYC, I was officially moving to Nolita – the coolest part of the city.

Oh how I miss Nolita – the neighborhood that is nestled in between uber-chic Soho and the ultra hip Lower East Side making it the perfect melting pot of downtown NYC cool.

While it was fantastic to have spent a few years in this hood, have no fear if you’re not ready to purchase (or even rent) a loft in NYC quite yet, because you can now visit and stay at the amazing Nolitan Hotel.  I love every nook and cranny of this place as it is as cool as the streets it resides on. The people are amazingly friendly, the rooms are ultra chic, and you won’t ever feel like a tourist when you’re reading the Times on their luxe leather couch sipping coffee from the neighborhood’s local Cafe Gitane.

You may recognize some of the pics of the rooms as this was also the location that was awesome enough to lend us all-access to the hotel for the Girl Around Town photo shoot that happened last spring. We can’t say enough great things about all who were involved in that chaotic amazing day, and thanks to the beautiful backdrop the Nolitan provided, the shoot was a true success.

Oh, by the way: You may have noticed little Lola in the pics – yep, they are a pet friendly hotel – which makes them that much cooler. Your pet will even be welcomed with a basket of treats and toys!

Let’s be honest: It’s my new favorite place to stay (now that I’m not a native anymore).

Accessorize: If I were still in NYC, I’d be loading up on fall goodies! Check out (and shop) my fall look book.
