When I was invited to see the new holiday show Coney Island Christmas at Geffen Playhouse in Westwood I’ll admit I was skeptical. Sure, the play was created by Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies, but with a plot line about a young Jewish girl who is cast as Jesus in the school’s Christmas pageant I had my doubts it would be entertaining. But, I was wrong… once the show got going I couldn’t stop laughing!
