A new restaurant opening in Downtown Los Angeles is hardly news these days, what with the rapid growth in the area. What is news, is when a regionally beloved and delicious restaurant like Casa Nostra from Pacific Palisades brings it’s food all the way across the city and opens up shop just blocks from LA Live.

But all of that has changed drastically and lately I can’t keep up with all of the new amazing restaurants and bars. Olfield’s Liquor Room, named after famed race car pioneer Barney Oldfield, is everything retro. From the drink names etched into large mirrors covering one wall to the matching white tile covering nearly all the floors, the bar feels open and fresh, even when packed on a Saturday night as Electric Friends are spinning 50′s and 60′s doo-wop.
